September 10, 2010 -- Reflecting the fickleness of Web users, nearly a third of consumers would start abandoning slow sites within one and five seconds, according to a new study from Gomez, the Web performance division of Compuware Corporation.

Russel E. Kaufman, M.D., president and CEO of The Wistar Institute, has been named co-chair of the Greater Philadelphia Life Sciences Congress (GPLSC), effective July 1, 2010. Kaufman joins Tom Muldoon, president of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PCVB) as co-chair. Muldoon retires from PCVB this December.
